Carolina Proaño-Castro
Executive Director
Carolina Proaño-Castro assumed leadership of Fundacion Futuro toward the end of 2018 to develop and implement the new sustainability-focused strategy. Carolina was previously part of the Climate and Development Knowledge Network at Fundacion Futuro Latinoamericano, where she promoted low-emission development in Peru and Quito. She also worked with Talking Transformation (United Kingdom), mainstreaming climate change into biodiversity and development programs in international organizations such as RARE, FSC, and the IPBES.
Carolina is a Biologist by profession. She has a Master’s Degree in Conservation Leadership from the University of Cambridge, and specializations in international affairs, development, environmental sustainability and management. She is also passionate about outdoors activities, yoga, hiking, and mountain biking.

Carolina is a Biologist by profession. She is also passionate about open-air activities, including yoga, hiking, and mountain biking.

Felipe Andrade Dávila
Coordinator of Carbon and Biodiversity Management
Felipe Andrade is a biotechnology engineer who has experience in ecology, conservation and project management.
He has worked on orchid rescue and propagation for conservation purposes, and urban vegetation management to generate better living conditions in the city of Quito.
As a nature and adventure lover, he spends much of his time traveling and exploring different ecosystems.

Carolina Dávalos
Coordinator of Sustainable Landscape Management
Carolina Davalos has significant experience in developing environmentaly friendly productive processes.
She worked in the Office of the Secretary of the Environment for the Municipality of Quito developing territorial conservation strategies.
Since she was a child, Carolina has maintained a strong connection to life in the field. She has a degree in Zootechnology from the Polytechnic Institute of Chimborazo (ESPOCH).
